Vera is a mild tempered, very shy woman. She tends to hang back and listen to the tone of the room, rather then involve herself in the discussion. Because of treatment growing up, she gets rather "stage fright" per say, when introducing herself or meeting strangers. She tends to talk quietly, and keep her head down. She has a fear of judgement based on her affliction, and despite rather obvious signs, she doesn't usually admit to being blind. she shy's from confrontation with peers, and when in battle, stays focused on her position.

Interests: Listening to Classical music
Likes: Being read to, spicy food, warm places, soft cats
Dislikes: being looked down upon for her blindness, sour food, cold wet places, oily things
Quirks: She has a habit of caressing soft things when she's anxious. this is why she keeps the front pieces of her hair down, since its the closes thing to her hands when faced with these anxieties. Its sort of like a stress ball, and soft texture tend to calm her down by giving her mind something else to focus on. but this isn't limited to her hair, it can be animals, articles of clothing (like silk or fur) or even someone else's hair (usually only Amy who doesn't mind).

Golem: Her golem is larger then the standard sized golem and is programmed to help Vera get around without bumping into walls or walking into traffic. She usually wrapped the long tail around her hand, the golom directing her out of the way of obstacles. (though despite this, she still doesn't usually go into foreign places on her own)

Deactivated Form: Her eyes look rather normal, albeit milky when her innocence is deactivated.

Her innocence is quite simple. It halts the enemy in a similar way that finder "barriers" do (albeit longer then they can). She can hold a level one akuma for many hours at a time and a level two for up to three hours. The akuma must be in her line of vision. When her innocence is activated, her usual grays in her vision blacken almost entirely, and the indication of where the Akuma are, appear as bright flashes of green "burning" light.

If it isn't obvious, Vera's innocence is heavily based of of the Greek legend of Medusa. Medusa was the queen of the Gorgans (a being generally described as a winged human female with a hideous face and living venomous snakes in place of hair) who was beheaded by the hero Perseus. he in turn used her head as a weapon, until he gave it to Athena, to place on her shield.

H i s t o r y O u t l i n e ;

Age 3: Family immigrates from Russia to Greece. Not long after her father (a scientist) has an accident with Vera present, her eyes were damaged and left her blind.
Age 12: Her mother passes away, her father attempts to bring him back. soon after he attacks Vera, her innocence activates for the first time. Soon after rumors curculate that she is the second coming of Medusa.
Age 14: Vera shuts herself away from the world, too scared oft he judgement and animosity of the town.
Age 16: She is discovered by Tiedoll, becomes his next apprentice.

Age 18: Vera joins the Black Order

- Her innocence has been a concept in my head for about two years now, finally using it.

- because of her heightened hearing, shes a light sleeper.

- She is not entirely blind, she has a fair amount of shadow and light perception.

- she prevers soft clothing (usually cottons)
